Evangelical Free Church of Bay City - Where Families Grow Together
We are part of the
What we're about here at BCEFC is simple. We aim to help people know God,  grow spiritually, and find purpose in life. We do this through practical Bible teaching, inspiring worship, and creating a host of opportunities for significant and supportive relationships. Together we're learning the responsibilities and the exciting privileges that come with being a part of God's family. We invite you to join us on the journey.

We Believe:
The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men and the Divine and final authority for Christian faith and life.
That Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross, a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest and Advocate.
That the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and, during this age, to convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, and indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer for godly living and service.

That the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His Resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit and, thus become children of God.
That the true Church is composed of all such persons who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the Body of Christ of which He is the Head. That only those who are, thus, members of the true Church shall be eligible for membership in the local church. That Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the Church and that every local church has the right, under Christ, to decide and govern its own affairs. In the personal and premillennial and imminent coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and that this "Blessed Hope" has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer.

What to Expect When You Visit:
We are known for our casual, "family-friendly" atmosphere for our children, students, and adults. Here's a quick look at a few of the things you can expect at BCEFC on Sunday mornings:

Parking: Handicapped parking is available close to the entry doors on the East side of the building.

Greeters and ushers: Whether you are a visitor, are looking for a particular classroom, or just need information, greeters and ushers are ready to help as soon as you enter our building.

We believe that children need to learn to worship with the body of Christ and therefore we welcome all children to stay in the Worship service with us (please read this article for some insight). Worship folders are provided and they contain paper, coloring pages and crayons to help keep busy minds occupied...just ask an usher for one. A nursery is provided for children up to 3 years old. Our nursery workers are screened through Michigan's DHS.

Attire: Our focus is on providing a comfortable, friendly atmosphere that enables us to worship God and talk about life's real issues. What you wear is of little concern to us — dress how you're most comfortable. You'll fit in just fine.

Visitors: When you visit, you'll be able to "check us out" in a non-threatening way. No one will ask you to stand or identify yourself as a visitor. Information will be easily accessible in our brochure racks and people will direct you if you need help finding something or someone. We desire that you come and meet God and enjoy the services without distractions or embarrassment.
